Weekly Events
Sunday Morning
Youth begin in worship at the 9:30 service and then depart together a few minutes into worship for some fun, learning and donuts at the D.O.G. House.
On Communion Sunday, the first Sunday of every month, the youth remain for worship in the sanctuary.
Sunday Night RISE
RISE meets on Sunday nights in the DOG House from 5:00-6:30 pm.
At RISE, we want our gatherings to be a place where students feel at home and connect with one another. A few hot small bites each week help break the ice and create space for conversation and fellowship. Popular, easy ideas: sliders, pigs in a blanket, buffalo chicken dip, or anything warm and shareable.

We are so proud of the amazing work you did last summer in VA Beach and Pittsburgh.
Now it’s your turn again for another unforgettable week of service, faith, and fun!
Trip Dates
Middle School-Rocky Mount, VA - July 26-31
High School-West Virginia - July 12-18

To join the trip, each student must meet three important requirements:
- Training Meetings – Attend one meeting during each of the three weeks listed below-3 total meetings.
Week 1: March 3, 5, or 8
Week 2: March 24, 26, or 29
Week 3: April 21, 23, or 26
2. Service Project – Participate in at least one SGUMC Youth-sponsored service project during the spring semester (Jan–May).
3. Youth Gatherings – Join us for at least three Youth gatherings during the spring semester.
