Shady Grove's Mission Committee is working hard to do God’s work in our community as well as throughout the world. Our goal is to bring our church’s light and promise of Christ’s love to those in need. We ask that you remember that Christ teaches us to go out and be “fishers of people” as well as to care for those who find themselves in less fortunate circumstances than ourselves.

May - Liberation Veteran Services CollectionList Item 2
Shady Grove is focusing on housing/homelessness in May. Liberation Veteran Services helps homeless veterans rebuild their lives and move into permanent housing. We will collect the following items: socks; t-shirts, men's underwear, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry and dish detergent, 55 gallon trash bags, bleach, & Pine-Sol. Place the items in the labeled collection bins in the Sanctuary, Education Building and Fellowship Hall. Go to lvsrva.org for more information about Liberation Veterans Services.

May 16 - Habitat for Humanity Workday
Habitat For Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, & hope. Be part of our build day. Limited to the first eight (8) registrants. Build will be at 17044 N Telegraph Road, Doswell, VA 23047 Handyman skills not necessary. Additional details will follow.
