Youth Explosion Choir
Sundays 5:00-6:00 pm in the Sanctuary, seasonally
Vocal choir opportunity for youth in Grades 6-12, directed by Sylvia Cooper. Youth Explosion’s purpose is to worship and serve God through sharing in Sunday morning worship services. Interested members are offered the opportunity to participate in the state mass choir weekend, Youth Choir Jam, held each November.  Learn more about Youth Choir Jam.

Youth Handbells
Sundays 5:00-6:00 pm in the Sanctuary or EB 204

This handbell choir is for youth in Grades 6-12 and is directed by Gregg Butler, gbutler@shadygroveumc.net. Its purpose is to worship God by sharing seasonally in worship services. Rehearsals are held on a rotating schedule during the year. 

Youth Orchestra
Sundays 5:00-6:00 pm in the Sanctuary

This instrumental ensemble is for youth in Grades 6-12 and is directed by Gregg Butler, gbutler@shadygroveumc.net. Its purpose is to share in worship services on a rotating basis during the year.      

Sanctuary Choir
Wednesdays 7:15-8:45 pm in the Sanctuary
This vocal choir is the foundation of the Music and Arts Ministries at Shady Grove, and welcomes adults and high school youth (youth by consultation with the Minister of Music and Arts.) There are no audition requirements, only a giving heart. Its purpose is to worship and honor God through weekly anthems in our three sanctuary services. The choir combines with several music and arts ensemble groups to present an annual Christmas musical drama. Sylvia Cooper is the director of the sanctuary choir.

TestifyRVA
Sundays 10:00-10:30 am and Wednesdays 7:15-8:15 pm in the Fellowship Hall

TestifyRVA is a vocal and instrumental team of youth and adults who have a passion for serving God in the contemporary worship service on a rotating schedule.  Contact Brian Mahne, Director of Contemporary Worship.

Gideon's Call and Voices of Grace
Wednesdays 6:15-7:15 pm or Sundays 6:00-7:00 pm in the Sanctuary, seasonally
