Daring to Drive: A Saudi Woman’s Awakening by Manal Al-Sharif - Memoir
Recommendation from Teresa Gagliardi:
I thought it was very well written, and it gave true insight into what it is like to grow up in a Muslim country as a female. The writer shares her real life experiences and made me aware how lucky we are to have the freedom we have as women in the US. Truly eye-opening. Some of her experiences will always stay in my heart, thoughts and prayers for women around the world. -Teresa Gagliardi

Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple - Fiction
Recommendation from Lauren Adkins:
I loved this book for its exploration of how we rarely see ourselves as others see us and how varied the perspectives of others truly can be. The main character, Bernadette, is flawed, which we can all relate to in life; though we might choose different coping mechanisms than Mrs. Fox! This book is also a cokesbury.com Faith and Culture Book Club Pick. - Lauren Adkins

Everybody Always: Becoming Love in a World Full of Setbacks and Difficult People By Bob Goff - Christian Non-Fiction
Recommendation from Olga Komarov:
I picked Everybody Always because I enjoyed the book Love Does by the same author. Bob Goff truly shares the love of Jesus through his stories. - Olga Komarov

In the Presence of My Enemies: A Gripping Account of the Kidnapping of American Missionaries and Their Year of Terror by Gracia Burnham with Dean Merrill - Religious Autobiography
Recommendation from Dana Kelley:
After reading this book I had to re-evaluate my paradigms on missionaries and the support we give to these Gospel spreaders. Prior to reading, I did not fully comprehend or appreciate the difficulties, dangers and the incredible strength, faith and sacrifice that some missionary families face. It gave me new ways to pray and to support those who have answered the call to spread God's word in far away lands. - Dana Leigh Kelley
