Gregg Butler, Administrator of Music and Arts/Membership Secretary

Gregg and her family joined Shady Grove UMC 13 years ago after moving to Richmond from Raleigh, North Carolina. Gregg is happy that she has been able to turn "helping out" in the church office into a part-time job. Gregg works as Membership Secretary and also supports the music ministry by serving as Administrator of Music and Arts, as well as directing the youth instrumental and handbell ensembles.

Gregg graduated from Duke University with double majors in Music and Psychology. She and her husband, Steve, have two sons. In her spare time, she enjoys going to her sons' sports and music events, cheering for Duke basketball, reading, walking her dog, and occasionally playing the viola. She also works as a substitute teacher for middle school and high school strings and band classes for Henrico county and is an instructor for Lego robotics with the Center for Creative Arts at Shady Grove.
